Hassan, Nov. 17-25: Kannada Week was celebrated herein Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Hassan. On the first day, Purvit Gowda of class 6 delivered a speech on the features of Kannada Nadu-Nudi. On the second day, the children of class 1 sang the poem ‘Chandiranetake Oduvanamma’ along with a performance and won everyone’s appreciation. On the third day, the students of class 4 dressed up as brave women like Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi, Rani Chennamma of Kittur, Onake Obavva and Rani Abbakka and gave a brief introduction to them. On the fourth day, the children of class 2 introduced the vowels of Kannada beautifully through a song. On the fifth day, students of class 5 dressed up as Immadi Pulakeshi, Raja Vishnuvardhana, Sri Krishnadevaraya and Nalvadi Krishnaraja Wodeyar and charmingly displayed their bravery, administrative skills and love for culture. On the sixth day, students of class 3 sang the song “Kannada Nadu Bari Nadalla”.Every day, students from a different class performed a program and displayed the diversity of Kannada’s heritage, history,literature and culture in various forms. On the last day, the concluding program of the Kannada Week was held. Smt. Latha spoke about the respect for the Kannada language, its literature, heritage and the importance of the culture of the country and inspired the students. The teacher sang the song “Hachevu Kannada Da Deepa”.

ಹಾಸನ, ನ. 17-25: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ಹಾಸನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಪ್ತಾಹವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಮೊದಲ ದಿನ 6ನೇ ತರಗತಿಯ ಪೂರ್ವಿತ್ ಗೌಡ ಕನ್ನಡ ನಾಡು–ನುಡಿಯ ವೈಶಿಷ್ಟ್ಯಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ಭಾಷಣ ಮಾಡಿದನು.ಎರಡನೇ ದಿನ 1ನೇ ತರಗತಿಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ‘ಚಂದಿರನೇತಕೆ ಓಡುವನಮ್ಮ’ ಎಂಬ ಕವನವನ್ನು ಅಭಿನಯದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹಾಡಿ ಎಲ್ಲರ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆ ಗಳಿಸಿದರು. ಮೂರನೇ ದಿನ 4ನೇ ತರಗತಿಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರು ವೀರ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರಾದ ಝಾನ್ಸಿ ರಾಣಿ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀಬಾಯಿ, ಕಿತ್ತೂರು ರಾಣಿ ಚೆನ್ನಮ್ಮ, ಒನಕೆ ಓಬವ್ವ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಣಿ ಅಬ್ಬಕ್ಕನವರ ವೇಷಭೂಷಣ ತೊಟ್ಟು ಅವರ ಸಂಕ್ಷಿಪ್ತ ಪರಿಚಯವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು. ನಾಲ್ಕನೇ ದಿನ 2ನೇ ತರಗತಿಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಕನ್ನಡದ ಸ್ವರಾಕ್ಷರಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಡಿನ ಮೂಲಕ ಸೊಗಸಾಗಿ ಪರಿಚಯಿಸಿದರು.ಐದನೇ ದಿನ 5ನೇ ತರಗತಿಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಇಮ್ಮಡಿ ಪುಲಕೇಶಿ, ರಾಜ ವಿಷ್ಣುವರ್ಧನ, ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣದೇವರಾಯ ಮತ್ತು ನಾಲ್ವಡಿ ಕೃಷ್ಣರಾಜ ಒಡೆಯರ ವೇಷಭೂಷಣ ತೊಟ್ಟು, ಅವರ ಶೌರ್ಯ–ಆಡಳಿತ ಕೌಶಲ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ ಪ್ರೇಮವನ್ನು ಮನಮೋಹಕವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದರು. ಆರನೆಯ ದಿನ 3ನೇ ತರಗತಿಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳು “ಕನ್ನಡ ನಾಡು ಬರಿ ನಾಡಲ್ಲ” ಎಂಬ ಗೀತೆಯನ್ನು ಹಾಡಿದರು. ಪ್ರತಿದಿನವೂ ವಿಭಿನ್ನ ತರಗತಿಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಕನ್ನಡದ ಪರಂಪರೆ, ಇತಿಹಾಸ, ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯ ವೈವಿಧ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ವಿವಿಧ ರೂಪಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದರು.ಕೊನೆಯ ದಿನ ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಪ್ತಾಹದ ಸಮಾರೋಪ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಜರುಗಿತು. ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಲತಾ ಅವರು ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆಯ ಗೌರವ, ಅದರ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ, ಪರಂಪರೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಾಡಿನ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯ ಮಹತ್ವ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು. ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು “ಹಚ್ಚೇವು ಕನ್ನಡದ ದೀಪ” ಎಂಬ ಗೀತೆಯನ್ನು ಹಾಡಿದರು.
