Hassan, Jun. 5: World Environment Day was celebrated at Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Hassan.
• The school principal, Smt. Uma S. Patil, planted a sapling.
• In the cultural program, the students sang an environmental song.
• Ku. Gahana, a student of Class 6, explained the importance of World Environment Day.
• The students of Class 7 presented a short play on environmental protection, the importance of animals and birds and the ill effects of environmental destruction to create awareness.
The students also gave a dance performance related to environmental awareness.
• Later, a tree planting program and an environmental awareness march were organised in front of the school premises in collaboration with ‘Chiguru Parva Vrikshotthana’ and S.M. Krishna Nagar Residents Welfare Development Association, Hassan. The march was flagged off by Sri. Dharmegowda, President of S.M.K. Residents Welfare Development Association.
• In this program, Sri Appigowda of Chiguru Parva Vrikshthana, Sri Rugesh G. of Cable Tech, S.M.K. Nagar, the Principal of the school, Smt. Uma S. Patil, teachers and students participated enthusiastically, shouting slogans about the environment. This cultural program and the jatha program, which emphasised the importance of environmental protection, were completed.

ಹಾಸನ, ಜೂ. 5: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ಹಾಸನದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ವ ಪರಿಸರ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
• ಶಾಲೆಯ ಪ್ರಧಾನಾಚಾರ್ಯರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಉಮಾ ಎಸ್. ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ಅವರು ಗಿಡವನ್ನು ನೆಟ್ಟರು.
• ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಪರಿಸರ ಗೀತೆಯನ್ನು ಹಾಡಿದರು.
• 6ನೇ ತರಗತಿ ಎ ವಿಭಾಗದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿ ಕು. ಗಹನಾ ವಿಶ್ವ ಪರಿಸರ ದಿನದ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು.
• 7ನೇ ತರಗತಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಪರಿಸರ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆ, ಪ್ರಾಣಿ-ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳ ಮಹತ್ವ ಹಾಗೂ ಪರಿಸರ ನಾಶದ ದುಷ್ಪರಿಣಾಮಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ಕಿರು ನಾಟಕ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸಿದರು.
• ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಪರಿಸರ ಜಾಗೃತಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ನೃತ್ಯ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನವನ್ನೂ ನೀಡಿದರು.
• ನಂತರ ಶಾಲಾ ಆವರಣದ ಮುಂಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ‘ಚಿಗುರು ಪರ್ವ ವೃಕ್ಷೋತ್ಥಾನ’ ಹಾಗೂ ಎಸ್.ಎಂ. ಕೃಷ್ಣ ನಗರ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳ ಕ್ಷೇಮಾಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಸಂಘ, ಹಾಸನ ಇವರ ಸಹಯೋಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಗಿಡ ನೆಡುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಮತ್ತು ಪರಿಸರ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಜಾಥಾವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಜಾಥಾಕ್ಕೆ ಎಸ್.ಎಂ.ಕೆ. ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳ ಕ್ಷೇಮಾಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಸಂಘದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಧರ್ಮೇಗೌಡರು ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
• ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಗುರು ಪರ್ವ ವೃಕ್ಷೋತ್ಥಾನದ ಶ್ರೀ ಅಪ್ಪಿಗೌಡರು, ಎಸ್.ಎಂ.ಕೆ. ನಗರದ ಕೇಬಲ್ ಟೆಕ್‌ನ ಶ್ರೀ ರುಗೇಶ್ ಜಿ., ಶಾಲೆಯ ಪ್ರಧಾನಾಚಾರ್ಯರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಉಮಾ ಎಸ್ ಪಾಟೀಲ್, ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಉತ್ಸಾಹದಿಂದ ಪರಿಸರದ ಘೋಷಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೂಗುತ್ತಾ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದರು. ಪರಿಸರ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆಯ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಸಾರಿದ ಈ‌ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕ್ರೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಹಾಗೂ ಜಾಥಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಸಂಪನ್ನವಾಯಿತು.
