Hassan, Feb. 24: Class 2 students of Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Hassan visited the historic Narasimhaswamy Temple and Omkareshwar Temple in Mudigere, Hassan district, as part of an educational field trip. Visit to Lakshmi Narasimha Temple First, we visited the Lakshmi Narasimha Temple. There, we saw the carvings on the temple walls, sculptures of deities, and intricate stone pillars. Omkareshwara Temple This temple, which houses a Shiva temple and is famous for its carvings, features a star-shaped platform structure, intricate stone carvings, a large water tank in front of the temple, and a domed structure showing Indo-Islamic influence. The architecture of the temple was different from that of the Narasimhaswamy Temple, which helped us understand the diversity in temple designs in Karnataka.

ಹಾಸನ, ಫೆ. 24: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ಹಾಸನದಲ್ಲಿ 2ನೇ ತರಗತಿಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ ಪ್ರವಾಸದ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿ ಹಾಸನ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಮೂಡಿಗೆರೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ನರಸಿಂಹಸ್ವಾಮಿ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಓಂಕಾರೇಶ್ವರ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ ನರಸಿಂಹ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಭೇಟಿ ಮೊದಲನೆಯದಾಗಿ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀ ನರಸಿಂಹ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಗೋಡೆಗಳ ಮೇಲಿನ ಕೆತ್ತನೆಗಳು, ದೇವತೆಗಳ ಶಿಲ್ಪಗಳು, ಸಂಕೀರ್ಣವಾದ ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಕಂಬಗಳನ್ನು ವೀಕ್ಷಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಓಂಕಾರೇಶ್ವರ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಭೇಟಿ ಓಂಕಾರೇಶ್ವರ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನ ಶಿವನ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನವಿದ್ದು ಕೆತ್ತನೆಗೆ ಹೆಸರುವಾಸಿಯಾದ ಈ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಾಕಾರದ ವೇದಿಕೆಯ ರಚನೆ, ಸಂಕೀರ್ಣವಾದ ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಕೆತ್ತನೆಗಳು, ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದ ಮುಂದೆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ನೀರಿನ ತೊಟ್ಟಿ, ಇಂಡೋ-ಇಸ್ಲಾಮಿಕ್ ಪ್ರಭಾವವನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸುವ ಗುಮ್ಮಟಾಕಾರದ ರಚನೆಯನ್ನು ವೀಕ್ಷಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ದೇವಾಲಯದ ವಾಸ್ತುಶಿಲ್ಪವು ನರಸಿಂಹಸ್ವಾಮಿ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಭಿನ್ನವಾಗಿತ್ತು, ಇದು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನ ವಿನ್ಯಾಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿನ ವೈವಿಧ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡಿತು.
